Overseas Filipino Voters Can Register At Consulate

DUBAI - The Philippine Consulate General is now open for the registration of eligible Filipinos as overseas absentee voters for the presidential elections.
Philippine Consul General Benito B. Valeriano told Khaleej Times that the registration started on February 17 and it would end on August 31.He said eligible voters will have to bring with them a copy of their passports when registering at the Consulate.
Qualified to register as overseas absentee voters are Filipinos residing in the UAE, who are not disqualified by law and are at least 18 years at the time of the Philippine National Elections on May 10, 2010.
To be voted are candidates for the posts of president, vice-president, senators and party-list representatives.
